Senior Social is for adults forty and above who join Brookside for the club itself. The dining room on a Friday. The pool through July. The courts year round. The people you will still be sitting with in twenty years.
It is a full membership in the life of the club, held by members who are not here for the golf and were never going to be.

A Full Voice
Senior Social is a voting membership. Social members elect the Board of Governors and vote on the questions that shape Brookside’s direction, on exactly the same terms as members who play golf every day.
That is worth saying plainly, because it is not true everywhere. At Brookside a social membership is not a lesser membership. It is a different one.
For the Family
This is the membership a great many Brookside families are built around.
Children swim on the club team through June and July and compete against other area clubs. They start tennis at three and carry it through to a competitive junior team. They spend the summer at the pool and turn up at Dive-In Movie Night, Teen Night and the Family Fun Run. None of that requires anyone in the family to play golf.
Family privileges run through a child’s twenty-second birthday, and through twenty-four for full-time students and those serving on active duty.
The dining room is the reason most social members come in when nothing in particular is happening. Menus change with the seasons. The calendar runs from the Opening Night Patio Party through the holidays, with New Member Welcome Dinners, the Community Lunch Table, family programming, teen nights and seasonal events across the year.
A club membership is finally about who is in the room. This is the category for members who understood that from the beginning.
Six rounds a year is not a golf membership and is not meant to be. It is there for the Saturday a visiting brother-in-law wants to see the course, or the evening in June when nine holes is exactly right. Golf remains available to you. It is simply not the reason you belong.
Children and grandchildren of current and former members may qualify for reduced initiation at any age.
