Most people do not stop going to the gym because the equipment was wrong. They stop because going became a separate errand.

At Brookside the fitness center is in the same building where you eat dinner, where your children swim, and where you finish a round. Lift before lunch. Come in early and take a shower before the office. Get an hour in while the kids are at swim practice. The friction that kills a gym habit is simply not there.

And it is never crowded the way a commercial gym is crowded at six in the evening.

This is a real gym, not a hotel fitness room with two treadmills and a rack of five-pound weights.

Enough to run a serious strength program, and enough variety that nobody is waiting on the one machine they need.

An on-site personal trainer works with members one-on-one, which is the right choice when you have a specific goal, a nagging injury, or a form problem you cannot see yourself.

Group training runs alongside it. Different tool, different job. Group sessions bring accountability and energy, because other people expect you to turn up. It works particularly well for members who want consistency more than customization.

A common path is starting one-on-one and moving into a group once the movements feel familiar. Many members do both.

A massage therapist is available on site. After eighteen holes on a Ross course with real elevation, this is less of a luxury than it sounds.

Members may bring guests to the fitness center, subject to sign-in, a modest guest fee and reasonable visit limits that keep the facility available to the membership.

Fitness sits alongside racquets, the pool and the course as part of one membership. A family can arrive together and go four directions: one to the courts, one to the water, one to the range, one to the gym, and all of them meet for dinner.

Membership details and current fees are available from the Membership Office.
